After Effects 7.0 Views
The main interface consists of several panels (windows in versions prior to After Effects 7.0). Three of the most commonly used panels are the Project panel, the Composition panel, and the Timeline panel. The Project panel acts as a bin to import stills, video, and audio footage items. Footage items in the Project panel are used in the Timeline panel, where layer order and timing can be adjusted. The items visible at the current time marker are displayed in the Composition panel.
All samples and documentation have been updated in the Adobe After Effects 7.0r3 SDK. The addition of SmartFX effect messaging enables 32 bit-per-channel effects processing. Numerous AEGP API enhancements improve After Effects' inter-application responsiveness. Please see the Readme file for more information.
This updater will update only the retail version of After Effects 7.0 software and not any prerelease (beta) versions. To confirm that the updater has run successfully, launch After Effects and verify that the version number on the splash screen shows 7.0.1 and not 7.0. If it does not show 7.0.1, you may not have a retail version. To purchase a retail version, contact your local Adobe retailer or visit the Adobe website.
The release of After Effects 7.0 (AE7) is heavily centered on improving workflow and capability for artists. And it truly succeeds in this manner. Its not to say there arenj’t new creative features in the software, but this release is a major overhaul in both the underlying architecture as well as the user interface. What are the highlights?
