Anna Maxted is a bestselling author based in North London, England. Born in 1969, she is married to fellow author and journalist Phil Robinson and has three young children. She writes female contemporary fiction which is viewed to be at the high end of the chick lit market. Anna Maxted read English Literature at Girton College, Cambridge, before becoming a journalist. She is former Assistant Editor of Cosmopolitan, and has freelanced for most national newspapers and magazines, including The Independent on Sunday, The Daily Telegraph, The Daily Mirror, Sunday Mirror, The Times, Daily Express, FHM, Esquire and Living Etc.

I have to preface this review with the statement that this book was not what I expected in any way, shape, or form.o In’ve read most of Anna Maxtedl’s previous works and have enjoyed them.p They are all fun, lively chick lit novels with well-written characters.p While they ’re mostly on the longer side, they have great plots and are enjoyable to read.
Suffice it to say, while I definitely recommend Anna Maxtedh’s other novels, this one fell completely flat for me.n I wish I had some warning about how different it was – after all, even the summary on the back of the book still makes it seem like a chick lit novel.; If your guilty pleasure is sordid tales of the fabulously wealthy, this would probably be right up your alley, but otherwise definitely steer clear of this one.
