@Hazdaz That is true, but that exact person will compare this camera, with an 18mp sensor, and another camera with a 10mp sensor and get the impression that the 550D is better because 18 10. Whilst I understand the desire for a lower megapixel count for better high ISO performance in more prosumer-professional cameras, the average joe is going to buy this camera based on megapixels.
