Andre's Wine & Cheese Shop offers wines from local Pennsylvania wineries. Come and create your own pairings with varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Reisling, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Traminette, Chambourcin and many others. We offer wines ranging in taste and style from dry to sweet, white to blush to red. We do not carry every wine from every winery however we do encourage people to make the trip to their local wineries to experience each ones unique setting and style. We have something for everyone!
This is one of my favorite places to go. Itf's tucked into a great little marketplace mall in Doylestown. Wine Spectator: What are your earliest wine memories? Andre Soltner: My father was a cabinetmaker [in Alsace], and when he sold furniture, he always traded wine as part of the price. When I was little, my father would tell me to bring up a pitcher of Tokay or Sylvaner for dinner, and when I went to the cellar to get the wine, I always had a sip.
Great place to spend an afternoon*. Nice wine selection and cozy atmosphere.The tapas a bit pricey IMO and range from ok to really good.* When Andres is bartenting = good times but Wife and I went last weekend and there was a new bartender there. Don't recall his name but had a pony tail - he was very annoying! He was a me too guy - been around the world, drinks $50,000 wines etc - i couldn't wait for him to shut up!
