Christmas Songs is a 2005 (see 2005 in music) album by Diana Krall performed with the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra. This is Krall's first full-length album of Christmas songs (not counting 1998's Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas EP), and her first studio album with a big band. It is her ninth album overall. Billboard ranked album at number 14 on the magazine's Top Jazz Albums of the Decade.

September 27, 2010: I rarely listen to Christmas CDs - they're mostly boring and have the feeling of being ground out to make a quick buck. This one has a lot of joy in it, a lot of the subtlety and tonality that make Diana Krall's CDs such a joy to listen to (with the possible exception of The Girl in the Other Room). Get it. Sit back. Relax. Listen....and enjoy.

What is it about Diana Krall? Why are her remakes of classic songs so beguiling? This is not her first holiday season CD. Her seventh release, in 1999, was Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.
