Hp Pavillion Slimline S3000 Views
HP released the Slimline S3000 desktop PC in March 2007. HP's Slimline models specialized in offering a tiny, sleek desktop PC that packed the power of a full-sized PC into a smaller-sized case with a height of 10.87 inches and a width of 4.21 inches. HP shipped the Slimline S3000 with a primary choice of Windows Vista Home Basic or Premium. The Slimline S3000 came in two sub-models: the S3000e and the S3000y.
Most Slimline S3000 models came with a 7200 rpm SATA hard drive with a capacity of 250 GB, but HP also offered hard drives ranging from a capacity of 160 GB to 750 GB. The optical drive provided DVD and CD-ROM reading and writing ability at 16X speed. HP used optical drives with LightScribe technology that enabled you to burn labels onto DVDs or CDs.
The Slimline S3000 contained a bay for HP's Pocket Media Drive, which offered additional media and file storage. The front panel had a USB port, a headphone jack and a 15-in-one digital media reader. The back of the machine had four additional USB ports. HP also offered an optional TV tuner card complete with a remote and receiver. The Slimline S3000 also had one FireWire port and came with a multimedia keyboard.
HP provided several choices of the Windows Vista operating system ranging from Home Basic to Ultimate. The Slimline S3000 contained RealPlayer for a basic media player and a 60-day free trial of Symantec Norton Internet Security 2007. You could choose to include Microsoft Office 2007, Roxio Photo Suite, Roxio Creator and QuickBooks Pro 2007.
