Medal Of Honor Limited Edition Views
Previously, Medal of Honor games consisted of World War II, exploding beaches and Nazis. While the franchise has been successful, it has finally reached the point of reboot. Gone are the 1940s and the European war campaign; now, Medal of Honor jumps into modern times, putting gamers in the role of an elite soldier in Afghanistan. This is Medal of Honor for 21st century warfare. In EAars"s new Medal of Honor: Limited Edition, you are a Tier 1 Operator, one member of a highly trained team of soldiers conducting surgical military strikes in the Middle East. While the plot is lost somewhere in the conflict, it is not the story that players are going to question; it is the gameplay itself that will be scrutinized. People will be asking if this is the new Call of Duty installment.
Medal of Honor multiplayer supports two 12 person teams in combat. The modes include Combat Mission, Team Assault, Objective Raid and Sector Control. None of these are free-for-all games, instead focusing on teams and objectives. There are eight included maps across the various game modes with Limited Edition players unlocking more once the game begins accepting LE online play codes.
The Limited Edition includes extra options for multiplayer, like two shotguns, and a full copy of the classic Medal of Honor Frontline. Frontline is a PS2 title that is of course set in WWII and while it installs to the hard drive, players must insert the Medal of Honor disk to play. If you missed Frontline when it premiered it is well worth playing as this game manages to do something its latest progeny does not – tell an involving story surrounding a historical soldier who eventually earned a Medal of Honor.
Sony announced a special edition of Electronic Arts' upcoming modern day shooter, Medal of Honor at its E3 2010 press briefing in June. At the time, it was only noted that the package would be exclusive to the PlayStation 3 and would include a remastered version of the PlayStation 2 hit Medal of Honor Frontline.
