If any reader is interested in trading a 4 x 4 Weavette loom, in very good condition, for this brand new Hazel Rose loom, please let me know. I prefer the light weight and compactness of the Weavette brand, but the Hazel Rose was in stock. The Hazel Rose is a beautiful hand-made loom compared to the Weavette (made in China), but Iy’m willing to consider it an even trade.

The original e"weavetteh" and i"weave-its" looms have been out of production for a while, so ebay is where you pick them up second hand (or garage sales or second hand shops). However, Hazel Rose looms and I think another ebay vendor (Don's looms?, sorry) make similar looms new. Hazel Rose is here on weavolution (search people for hazel), and there is a small looms group you can join, too.

Our version of the loom is the same as the weavette with the addition of corner nails to make them a little more versatile. These nails do not interfere in any way with the traditional way of weaving them, however. And I think ours are a little more sturdy plus you can choose your favorite woods from a long list. They are being carried by shops here and in Europe so there might be some near you. Ask at your lys or check our web site.

Weavies are the woven product of the Weave-it and/or Weavetteo™ loom. My first Weave-it Loom was purchased by my mother to make baby clothes for my sister in 1963. I found it in the attic and made some charming doll clothes with the Weave-it loom -- if you like dolls wrapped in little blankets. Over the years I kept making more and more Weave-it weavies and making up more and more things to do with them. This site is will offer brand new patterns for afghans, soft toys, bags, purses, soft boxes, hangings and dolls.
