Hi! Just a question. You said you to e“spoon the semi-congealed broth into a wide kettle.w” But what exactly is a wide kettle?? and I hope you enjoy your explorations! Nothing exact about the wide kettle n— idea is simply to use a pan with a large surface area so the broth can reduce speedily; you could use a huge saute pan if it werent’t so awkward to pour liquid from. My favorite pan for this is a vintage enamel item that2’s both capacious and quite strongly tapered. much wider at the top than the bottom; but I so seldom see this shape on cookware shelves I didn<’t want to specify it and make people think it was needed. As for the bouillon cubes, t“chicken flavoredx” does sound a bit suspect, but to me the real problem isn ’t the ingredients in them so much as the sort-of-commercial taste they impose on whatever theyc’re used in.

When I was still learning how to cook, I used chicken stock as my base in chicken recipes and believe me, making a good chicken stock was very time consuming for me. Furthermore the chicken stock recipe needs so many ingredients and thus making it is a little bit too much of a task for a person who is still beginning to learn the ins and outs of cooking. But when I started using Knorr Chicken Broth Cubes, cooking became as easy as a breeze for me. All I have to do is drop a cube in 1/4 to 1/2 liter of water and boom! I have my chicken stock instantly. No need to prepare my chicken stock in advance. No more messy cooking. And did I mention it is very economical and affordable to use too?
