Monster Legacy Views
Beginning in 1923, Universal Studios single-handedly invented the Horror Genre by introducing the world to the likes of Frankenstein, Dracula and The Wolf Man. These timeless classics, amongst many others, are still revered and admired today. In anticipation of Universal Pictures classic retelling of The Wolf Man, we brought this amazing legacy collection to life. For the very first time online, users can experience rare clips, classic posters and never before seen photography from all of Universal’s classic Monster Movies.
Universal Pictures is gearing up for the February 12 release of The Wolfman in a big way. The studio just launched its multimedia Monster Legacy website, on which fans can learn about the history of Universal's iconic creatures and the films in which they've starred -- leading up to 2010's The Wolfman. This is a pretty great idea, as the Universal monster films have yet to be matched for the sheer quality of their atmosphere and imagery. So no matter how The Wolfman turns out, if even a handful of impressionable horror fans discover the original 1941 film (titled The Wolf Man) or The Bride of Frankenstein or The Mummy, I'd say this site was a worthwhile venture... For those who can't get enough, the studio's also announced another neat Wolfman-related goody. Get the deets after the jump.
