Afl Footballs Views
Though much has changed through the games history when it comes to playing venues, clubs moving from venue to venue, new stadiums being built, older grounds going by the wayside, even venues with a retractable roof allowing protection from the elements and perfect one thing remains as it was in Round 1, 1897, and part of AFL footballs unique attraction, no one venue is the same.
The western and north western school football launch was conducted by Andrew Johnston and John Batty in the player auditorium of the Essendon Football Club. On hand to assist with the launch was Russell James, Essendon FC Community Affairs Manager who discussed a secondary school health issues program being conducted by a number of the Bombers players and recruiting manager Adrian Dodoro. Not only did the teachers collect footballs and coaching boards for their schools, they also gained an insight into the role of an AFL recruiter, what clubs are looking for and some timely advice on how to assist in the development of players in their school teams.
