Ocean Beach ain't no place for Bettys and Barbies (a.k.a. surf bunnies to you old-timers) -- Gidget would never make the paddle-out here.
Sy had never really seen a Barbie before Christmas. I know, I know, how could I have kept it from her this long? I was looking for some new bath toys and came across the most random Barbie out there - the Barbie Surfc’s Up Color Change Diver! Fun in the bath and a Barbie? And her bathing suit changes colors? And she has dolphins to swim with and diving gear? Sign me up!
Barbie Surf's Up Cruiseris a VW Beetle, convertible. It is pink with stickers for the front head lights, flowers along the doors, Barbie's personalized license plate and stickers for the rear tail lights. You don't have to place any of these items. Inside the car are two seats complete with seat belts, a small section for guages and a steering wheel. Accessories include a cooler with removable lid and four cans of soda or pop depending on where you come from.
My Viewpoint: Finally a toy that took me less than a degree in engineering to assemble! The Barbie Surf's Up Cruiser took just a minute to pop the little mirrors into the tabs created for it. I also liked the fact that unlike many other toys purchases, I didn't have to try to place all the stickers on the car. It was simply take it out of the box and hand it to the girls to play with. The cooler went upstairs to the dollhouse - because that's where they said it belonged.
